Japanese Girls Never Die 6.4
Japanese Girls Never Die Nonton Movie Japanese Girls Never Die Subtitle Indonesia Japanese girls never die, but their options for living within the strictly gendered, codified confines of contemporary Japanese society don’t seem to offer much of an alternative in Daigo Matsui’s splashy, erratic, provocative, and rather brilliant post-modern drama. One of two homegrown titles playing in competition at the Tokyo Intl. Film Festival, it provides a fascinating counterpoint to the dreamy classicist ethereality of Kiki Sugino’s ghost story “Snow Woman,” but while its rhythms may be more punkishly anarchic, its intentions are, if anything, more serious. “Japanese Girls Never Die,” AKA “Haruko Azumi Is Missing,” amounts to a patchwork protest against the subjugation and exploitation of women living within a misogynistic culture, but the audacious approach to chronology, the welter of subplots, subthemes, side characters, and surrealist interludes means it’s a lot less eat-your-vegetables than that may suggest. And within all that sound and fury (which signifies quite a lot) there is even room for a touchingly forthright central performance from Yû Aoi. Based on a 2013 novel by Mariko Yamauchi, the film’s main storyline concerns the 27-year-old, unmarried Haruko (Yû Aoi), who works a joyless job in a small office, lives at home with her parents and is unrequitedly in love with Soga (Huey Ishizaki), the weirdo neighbor with whom she used to play as a child. But even before we discover any of this about her, we know one thing: She will disappear. Within the bewilderingly chopped-up series of flash-forward fragments that opens the movie, we’ve already seen the film’s central image: the graphic stencil version of Haruko’s ‘Missing’ poster, and it infuses all the scenes of her daily life with a kind of dread, especially because we come to care for her so instantaneously.

Loving (Amar) 5.2
Loving (Amar) Nonton Movie Loving (Amar) Subtitle Indonesia Like the most eye-catching Caravaggio paintings, Esteban Crespo’s Amar emphasizes the obscene and the sublime, the bad and the beautiful. It’s a Spanish love story, one that’s driven by intimacy and the overwhelming energy that can manipulate rational thinking. There’s a 10-minute, sex-themed introduction with no nudity, and the main characters don’t philosophize about the meaning of love. Amar is passionate without being pretentious. In the beginning, there is light — striking, effervescent light. On her birthday, former village girl Laura (María Pedraza) meets up with her city boyfriend, Carlos (Pol Monen), who brings a surprise gift; a sex toy that’s intended to spice up their romance. In the moment, Laura and Carlos trust each other; they connect. After an unexpected visitor briefly disrupts the experience, the couple stays committed. It’s a powerful opening sequence, both tasteful and telling. But when Laura discovers some unfortunate bathroom art at school, a secret becomes common knowledge amongst friends. And when her divorced mother cheats with her ex-husband, the concept of “loving” takes over the girl’s thoughts. Oh, and Laura might be pregnant, too. She seems content, and her friends appear more curious than concerned. Written by the Oscar-nominated Crespo (Aquel no era yo, 2013) and Mario Fernandez Alonso, Amar succeeds through first-rate acting and cinematography, supported by the director’s subtle insinuations. This is crucial for character intent. Carlos’ actions raise some important questions, but there’s more to the story, evidenced by references to Laura’s past. She boasts to friends about an unknown act (“something you couldn’t imagine”) and Carlos delivers a passing jab when Laura questions his manhood. One definitive act drives the narrative, but the dialogue suggests that Amar is more focused on psychology and projections than raw sexuality.

Gifted Nonton Movie Film Gifted Subtitle Indonesia In a small town near Tampa, seven-year-old Mary Adler shows remarkable mathematical talent on her first day of first grade, which impresses her teacher, Bonnie Stevenson. Mary is offered a scholarship to a private school for gifted children. However, her uncle and de facto guardian, Frank, turns it down. Based on his family's experiences with similar schools, he fears Mary will not have a chance at a "normal" childhood. It emerges that Mary's mother, Diane, had been a promising mathematician, dedicated to the Navier–Stokes problem (one of the unsolved Millennium Prize Problems) before taking her own life when Mary was six months old. Mary has lived with Frank ever since. Frank's estranged mother and Mary's maternal grandmother, Evelyn, seeks to gain custody of Mary and move her to Massachusetts, believing that Mary is a "one-in-a-billion" mathematical prodigy who should be specially tutored in preparation for a life devoted to mathematics. However, Frank is adamant that his sister would want Mary to be in a normal public school and have the childhood she didn't have. Worried that the judge will rule against him and he will lose Mary completely, Frank accepts a compromise brokered by his lawyer Greg Cullen that sees Mary placed in foster care and attend the private school where Evelyn wants to have her enrolled. The foster parents live just 25 minutes from Frank's home, Frank will be entitled to scheduled visits, and Mary will be able to decide where she wants to live after her 12th birthday.
